OUR HEALTH CLUB AT THE CORNWALL HOTEL
At The Cornwall Hotel, our health club is designed to cater to your fitness preferences and goals. Whether you prefer tennis or treadmills, swimming or Pilates, you can maintain your fitness routine your way. Enjoy our state-of-the-art facilities and a wide range of activities to stay active and healthy while experiencing the luxury and comfort of our hotel.
FOR BODY & MIND
Our state-of-the-art fitness suite is housed in an old converted stable block, in the heart of our estate. Walk through the wooded parkland to arrive at the studio and swimming pool – a real haven in today’s busy world.
You can use the gym’s cardio equipment and swimming pool, or book onto one of our fitness classes (there’s a choice of lower-impact aqua classes and studio-based exercise). After your workout, unwind in the bubble pool, steam room or sauna, or simply enjoy a cooling drink in the private walled garden.

Fitness Suite
Latest hi-tech gym equipment
The carefully restored 18th-century stable block is naturally light and airy, making it a wonderfully comfortable space for your workout (and yes, we’ve added aircon). The horses would be surprised to see their old home taken up by the latest hi-tech gym equipment, including a cardio area, free weights and machine weights.
We are thrilled to partner with Origin Fitness for a complete gym refit, including new machines and expanded space. Follow us on social media for updates and progress!

You’ll feel at one with nature as you swim in our infinity pool, with its glass doors retracted for beautiful garden views.
Adults only:
7am – 9am, 6pm – 8:45pm (please note: it shuts at 7:45pm at weekends)
Family swimming:
9am – 6pm daily (can vary during school holidays)
Tennis Court
Game , Set , Match
All set for a game of tennis? We have two hard-surface tennis courts, set in lovely, tree-lined surroundings, and you can hire equipment from us. Enjoy a match or two with family and friends. (And remember – it’s meant to be fun, not the US Open…)

GROUP EXERCISES
Missing your regular exercise class? Don’t worry – we’ve got that covered here at The Cornwall.
We offer a weekly programme of fitness classes, from low-impact aqua groups to more challenging workouts. Simply speak with Reception to book a place.
Pilates focuses on balance, posture, muscle strength and flexibility, particularly strengthening your core muscles.
Monday 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Strengthening the body while dancing to music, allowing less strain on muscles and joints through the resistance of the water.
Monday and Thursday 5:30pm – 6.15pm
Whether you are an experienced yogi or a complete beginner in the health and wellness world. Come and give it a go!
Thurs 6pm – 7pm; Sat 8:30am – 9.30am
Combining strength training and cardio, exercises are performed in a sequence with minimal rest in between – a great way to get your weekly full body workout in!

Based on methods used by boxers, this class will typically involve focus pads and strength training, a fun exercise for challenging co-ordination & stress relief in a safe controlled space.
Monday and Thursday 5:30pm – 6.15pm
Using the hotel estate, Pentewan trail and local routes, Matthew will guide you through a warm up, run and cool down! Suited to those who regularly do cardio or running, although it will cater for everyone as much as possible.
Thursday 5.30pm – 6.30pm; Friday 12pm – 1pm
Looking to get in a quick fitness fix for the day, then this is the class for you! A short and sharp half hour class including warm-up, 15 minute high intensity interval training (HIIT) circuit and then a cool down. After this you will be energised and ready for the rest of the day!
