A new Summer menu launches this August at The Cornwall Hotel near St Austell. Focusing on seasonal flavours and local produce, the menu features locally-caught seafood, mouth-watering flavour combinations and high quality ingredients to suit all tastes.
Highlights include the open fish pie, with its pan-fried catch-of-the-day, mussels, clams and leeks served in a rich white sauce with creamy mashed potato, and the signature burger with its creamy slaw, smokey Emmental and lightly toasted brioche bun. Younger diners will also love the choice of smaller dishes, particularly the Cornish ice-cream, available in a range of flavours.
"When designing the menu, we wanted to celebrate all things Cornish," explained Head Chef Baz Mills. "We're so lucky to live and work in the foodie capital of the country so put that at the heart of everything. The seafood, locally grown fruit and vegetables, and Cornish cheeses are just some of the special ingredients we wanted to showcase."
The new menu is available now to view on the website - the restaurant, bar, sun terrace and Laura Ashley Tea Room welcome the public, as well as guests, throughout the day and evening. During your visit you're invited to relax on the expansive lawn, explore the 43 acres of woodland estate and unwind on the sun terrace. Social distancing measures have been put in place in line with Government guidelines.
