We’re in uncharted waters, for the tourism industry, the UK and the world, and it’s difficult to know how to best respond in this rapidly changing climate.
Our guests, staff, visitors and the wider community remain our highest priority. Following the latest government announcement on 20th March 2020 we closed our restaurant, bar, Laura Ashley The Tea Room and spa and leisure facilities yesterday. As at 21st March 2020 we have taken steps to begin closing the hotel and will be fully closed from Tuesday 24th March 2020 until further notice. Our first priority has been the guest currently staying with us and our staff.
There have been no confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in the Hotel and we continue to exercise thorough deep-cleaning practices to minimise risk of cross-contamination.
If you have a holiday booked with us, rest assured you will be contacted by our reservations team to discuss your booking to change your dates. May we kindly ask you to refrain from calling as we will call you, however you are welcome to email instead on [email protected]

Can I change the dates of my holiday?
You may move your arrival to a new date, up to 12 months after the containment of the coronavirus. Please contact Reservations to discuss.
The Cornwall Hotel has updated its cancellation policy, giving guests who book direct the option to move their dates at no additional charge. Any deposits or monies paid will be transferred to your new dates.
I have a gift voucher that expires soon – can I use it later in the year?
Yes – we are extending gift vouchers with expiry dates between March and June for an additional 12 months.
I booked a holiday through Secret Escapes but want to move my arrival dates?
Breaks booked through Secret Escapes have specific arrival/departure dates. You can move your Secret Escapes booking to between 1st November and 18th December 2020, or between 2nd January and 31st March 2021.
I booked a holiday through TravelZoo but want to move my arrival dates?
Breaks booked through TravelZoo have specific arrival/departure dates. You can move your TravelZoo booking to between 1st November and 18th December 2020, or between 2nd January and 31st March 2021.
I have a Virgin Experience voucher that expires soon – what can I do?
Virgin Experience is currently offering free extensions to all customers – you can get the latest information on the Virgin Experience website.
