1) Porthleven Food Festival - 22-24 April 2022
Porthleven Food Festival is a must-visit event in 2022. The popular festival brings together the
best chefs, producers and suppliers from around Cornwall to create an unforgettable weekend
experience.
The Porthleven Food Festival features cooking demonstrations across three days. Tickets are
available for individual sessions or all-day access via four different ticket types, including

2) Fowey Festival of Arts and Literature - 6-14 May 2022
The Fowey Festival of Arts and Literature is a celebration of the written and spoken word. This
ten-day festival takes place in Fowey, Cornwall each May and features events for all ages,
including author readings, workshops, panel discussions and children’s activities.
Highlights include the Fowey Literary Luncheon, featuring guest speakers from the world of
literature, and the Fowey Book Fair, which brings together authors, publishers and booksellers

3) Helston Flora Day - 8 May 2022
Cornwall has a tradition of splendid May Day celebrations, and Helston Flora Day has been an
important local festival for centuries. Helston’s ‘Furry Dance’ takes place on May Day morning at
dawn, around St John's Bridge. Townspeople dance in traditional costumes to bring good luck.
Originally, the party lasted for two whole days. The modern Flora Day packs six hours of fun into
one big celebration that starts off with an early morning parade through Helston. This heads to
the main festival site for live music, food, drink and crafts stalls. Helston Flora Day is a great
way to experience Cornwall's lively May Day celebrations in 2022.

4) St Ives Food and Drink Festival - 13-15 May 2022
Stroll around Porthminster Beach, enjoying the delicious aromas of the St Ives Food & Drink
Festival. There’s a wide choice of amazing street food stalls selling delicious dishes, as well as
beer tents, craft stalls and entertainment for younger foodies.
Live music adds to the celebratory atmosphere, and if you want to know more about preparing

5) Royal Cornwall Show - 9-12 June 2022
And now for the daddy of all Cornish events… The Royal Cornwall Show is an annual
agricultural show held in Wadebridge, Cornwall. The show has been running since 1839 and is
now one of the largest events in the South West of England.
In 2022 the Royal Cornwall Show will be taking place from June 9th to 12th, and there will be
plenty of activities for visitors to enjoy! There will be livestock competitions, trade stands, food
stalls, a funfair and much more.
One of the main attractions at the Royal Cornwall Show is the grand parade. This event sees
horses, cows, pigs and other animals parading around the showground in all their glory. It’s a
great opportunity to see some of the best livestock in the region

6) Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival - 17-19
June 2022
With sea shanties suddenly hitting the charts this year, Falmouth International Sea Shanty
festival is the place to be! This event is a three-day celebration of maritime music and culture,
with performances by some of the world’s best shanty singers.
This year’s festival takes on extra significance as it marks the 400th anniversary of the sailing of
the Mayflower from Falmouth Harbour. To commemorate this occasion, there’s a special
concert performance on Sunday 19th, featuring shanties about America and its history.

7) Boardmasters - 10-14 Aug 2022
Boardmasters music and surfing festival has been running for over 30 years, and it is one of the
most popular events in Cornwall.
There are so many things to do at Boardmasters, even if you’re not a surfer yourself. One of the
main attractions is the music lineup, which features some of the biggest names in music. This
year’s headliners have been confirmed as George Ezra, Disclosure and Kings of Leon.

8) Fowey Royal Regatta - 14-20 August 2022
The Fowey Royal Regatta is a week-long sailing event that takes place every year in Fowey,
Cornwall. The regatta sees sailors from all over the world compete in a range of races, including
offshore and inshore races, team racing, and round the cans racing.
There's also a packed social programme during the regatta, with events taking place ashore and
on board the boats. Fowey really is the sailing event of the year.

9) St Ives September Festival - 10-24 September 2022
Visit St Ives during its annual celebration of music and the arts. For two whole weeks, the town
is buzzing with live music, street entertainment, food stalls, talks and tours…
There’s also a full programme of bookable music and comedy gigs. Look out for the many art
and photography exhibitions around the town.

10) Falmouth Oyster Festival - 13-16 October 2022
The Falmouth Oyster Festival is an annual event celebrating the town's fishing heritage, its
oysters and seafood. The festival features a wide range of free fun activities for all ages, and of
course, there’s plenty of amazing food to try.
Visitors can enjoy live music on stages around Falmouth Bay as well as taking part in some
fantastic family-friendly events. Not a fan of oysters? Don’t worry: Falmouth has lots of great

11) Ice skating at the Eden Project - Christmas 2022
Ice skating at the Eden Project is the perfect way to spend a winter day. Book a skating session
