Meet the team

spa therapist at The Cornwall

Tia Wilton, spa supervisor

Spa Supervisor Tia was born in Cornwall and has lived here her whole life. She has worked in a number of the county's top spas, progressing to her current position at The Cornwall after gaining qualifications in beauty therapy, sports massage and reflexology.

"Working in different spas has meant I've had the opportunity to train with therapists from all over the world," Tia explains. "This has been fascinating; I've been able to take that knowledge and apply it to my own practice but also share it with others."

As well as offering tailored treatments to guests at the Hotel, Tia also helps train other therapists, alongside spa manager Tegan.

"I love the training side of the role but one of the best things about working in the spa is helping guests create happy memories," she continues. "It's so rewarding to see the difference spa therapy can make to someone, whether it's easing someone's physical discomfort or improving their mood and outlook."

Tia lives with her family (proud members of the Cornish Tractor Pullers' club), and her Jack Russell dog, Poppy.

"Cornwall is my favourite place in the world," she says. "Poppy loves exploring the moors, beaches and woodland nearby. I don't think she'd like to live anywhere else either."

Tegan Cann, Spa Manager

Tegan started working at The Cornwall Hotel & Spa in 2018. After qualifying as a spa therapist at college, Tegan gained extensive experience working in busy spa hotels throughout Cornwall, before settling here and progressing to the position of Manager.

"I love the setting and the people," Tegan explains. "We are a small team so really get to know the members, regular guests and local clients. This is essential to a relaxed atmosphere where people can truly escape and unwind."

Tegan specialises in massage therapy, manicures and pedicures, tailoring treatments to individual needs. "Some people assume it's going to be the same for everyone, but the best way to delight customers and keep them coming back is to understand what they're looking for."

In her free time, Tegan walks her dog (Jessie) along the Cornish beaches. She is also a keen horse rider, making the most of the stunning Cornish countryside on her chestnut mare, Daisy.

Tegan was born in Cornwall and lives just a few miles from the Hotel.
